    Hi,
Love your 5-star plugin very much.
Recently I reinstalled WordPress. When I activated Tables plugin again it didn’t show any previous tables. Not just tables but images (in uploads) and theme working weird. Obviously, I didn’t back up all properly.
Is there a chance to restore data in old tables?
We did back up via FTP and have a lot of Table press related files but don’t know which to upload back, for example, using (import) option.
Now our posts with tables working only because of cache files.
I fear that I lost all data.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m a bit confused as to what you have where here.

TablePress stores the table data in the database, so you should always back up your database. In addition, you should always export them from TablePress (e.g. as a CSV and as a JSON file).

    Tobias

    Hi, thank you for reply,
I used FileZilla and downloaded all WP files to PC via FTP before troubles.
Is it possible to restore them this way? from PC.

    Hi,

just downloading the files via FTP is not enough. These files do not contain any data from your site (like the text of posts and pages, tables, etc.)
These are all stored in the database and need to be backuped from there, e.g. using phpMyAdmin.
