    Hello,
If I’m not wrong, the SEO Data Transporter does not support SEOPress. In this case, one has necessarily to start fresh? If so, is there a risk to have a mess with previous metadata?
    Thanks,

    Mario

    Hi Mario,

    Sorry for my belated reply.

That’s correct; SEOPress isn’t considered in that plugin.

For a seamless transition, it’s best to carry over the metadata. Otherwise, you might see a few bumps in ranking for a few months, for better or worse. If the site is new (younger than a year) and hasn’t gained much traction yet, I see no harm in switching without carrying over the metadata.

I plan to have a transporter included for the next major release (no ETA). See https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/548.

    Hi Sybre,

thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, my site is quite old and has 8.000+ posts, and has rather heavy traffic. I think it’s better for me to wait for a transporter, in the future, before moving to TSF.

    Thanks,

    Mario

    Hi Mario,

Yes, that would be wisest, especially since manually transporting %%title-syntax%% will cause issues.
