Hi @majorkuso, you mention SCP, does that mean you have SSH/shell access to the machine so you can run commands? If so, then you should be able to run commands to dump/save the database to a backup file. I use a short script to run my backups for me:

mysqldump –add-drop-table -h localhost -u myusrename –password=xxx wp_site_dbname > backup_file_create.mysql

If you do not have shell access then it’s likely more difficult but a hosting company should provide some option, in my opinion.

It will be the same database username and password you provided to WordPress in the wp-config.php file.
