Database Backup Not Attached in Emain

  • Hi,

    Since the last update of iThemes Security the database backup is sent and it says “attached is the database backup file for your site” but there is no attachment in the email? is this an issue or do I need to change some settings?

  • I can confirm, I do not receive the DB backups with the emails. This occurs with iThemes 5.8.0

    I have the same trouble on all websites with updated iThemes Security. And I don’t have this trouble on sites which was not updated.

    Same here, I receive an email but no attachment. I tried changing the Backup Method from “Email Only” to “Save Locally and Email”. It did go to the local directory and it sent an email without an attachment. I tried with and without “Zip Database Backups” and it was the same thing: it did go to the local directory and I received an email without an attachment. I have iThemes 5.8.0

    The same here.
    On 3 sites, each on a different hosting provider, only 1 attaches the database backup via email.
    Last version of WP and iThemes Security.

    Today iThemes released a 5.8.1 plugin update which fixes the email attachment issue (and nothing else).

    @pronl – I can confirm. I updated the plugin on my host, and requested a DB backup. I received the email with zipped SQL file attached! Thanks

    I confirm it works with 5.8.1.
