• I can no longer create a one-click database backup for our website. Regardless of what path I enter in the Backup Location field the plugin tries to use the default location and now generates this error:

“Something went wrong with your backup. It looks like another process might already be trying to backup your database. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists please contact support.”

    Plugin version 4.4.23

  • I have the same issue with the same version. Both one-click backup and scheduled backups don’t work and give that error.

I have tried some solutions that are floating around the net, such as trying the manually create the ‘ithemes-security’ and ‘backups’ folders on the FTP and setting their privileges to ‘750’ but that failed to work for me (although other report this as being successful).

Any fixes from the gurus out there?

    Hey All,

Could you try checking for a plugin conflict? Deactivate all other plugins and see if that helps. If it does, then reactivate the plugins one at a time to find the culprit(s), if any.

    Thanks,

We deactivated all plugins and the backup feature still no longer works on our site. A backup.lock folder is created but no backups.
