Database connection error cloned multiuser site

I am writing a plugin that will allow me to easily clone an exact copy of one of my other multisite blogs. I added some fields that would allow me to update some basic information so that it isn’t completely identical in the end. It worked 100% fine in my local machine, but when I deploy it live and clone a blog, the one I cloned FROM says there is a database connection error and the newly created one just returns 0 when I visit the site. All the other blogs are completely fine. I am almost 100% sure it is something in the options table, but I can’t be 100% sure, which is why I am asking here. Anyone have this issue before? Any ideas what option is the trouble child? Any advice would be great. Thanks!
