    Hello.

I recently re-installed WordPress on my personal website back in January, and have kept it up-to-date ever since. The last time I updated was a little less than a week ago. Since then, it has been working just fine and in fact, as of earlier this afternoon, was loading correctly.
However, I just signed turned on my computer about ten minutes ago and now it will not load. I get a blank page titled “Database Error” that says “Error establishing a database connection” and after a refresh or two, it will intermittently swap between the Database Error page and my site’s custom 404 page.
I tried logging in via the wp-login portion of the site (just in case there’s a vital update I missed), but it just directs me to the error page, and I can’t log in.

Again, I have not made ANY updates (or even so much as logged in) since the last time I saw it up and running, so I have no idea how it could just go from working one minute and not working the next.

Please help me. I have no idea what I’m looking at here, and haven’t the slightest idea how to go about fixing it.

UPDATE: Okay… apparently between the time I logged on to www.ads-software.com and the time I clicked “post”, the problem managed to self-repair.
Everything is looking just fine now and I have been able to log in with no problems.

Although, I am kind of curious as to why this happened in the first place. Is it just a common WordPress error? Or is there a plugin I can add that might prevent this from happening again?
