Database error

  • Hello,

    I was having issues logging onto the admin section for my site earlier today. I would just get a blank white screen and no logon box. Now I am just getting a database error saying there is an error establishing a database connection. If anyone could help that would be appreciated!

  • Hmmm…That means wordpress core can’t connect to the database, which can be caused by a few different reasons. Did you happen to edit any of your core files, or maybe your wp-config file?

    I don’t think I edited a core file. It was suggested I backup my database and reinstall WordPress.

    Another option could be that you got hacked. ?? Try contacting your web hosting company and asking them if they are having connectivity issues, or if they can review your site to look for a malicious attacker.
