    Please help!

    My family’s photoblog is down-ish right now, and it’s showing the following error:

    WordPress database error: [File ‘./exitcrea_wp_2/wp_comments.MYD’ not found (Errcode: 2)]

    I’ve gone into the database admin area and tried to repair the table, but it keeps saying that the table is “In use”, or returns the error code above.

    The blog is at: https://exitcreative.net/todayin/

    What should I do? Can someone help?

    Try deactivating any comment plugins as it seems that might be the culprit. Then activate them one at a time and see which one is causing the error.

    Thanks, Jeremy. I will check it out. Is the “In Use” message your clue as to the idea that it might be a plugin causing the error?

    Okay, didn’t work.

    Just FYI, I just tried to look at the comments DB and this is what it gave me:

    Error

    SQL query: Edit

    SHOW INDEX FROM <code>wp_comments</code> ;

    MySQL said: Documentation
    #1105 - File './exitcrea_wp_2/wp_comments.MYD' not found (Errcode: 2)

    If I want to just start over with a new comments DB, with no information in it (obviously this would result in me losing all my comments, but that’s OK in this case), how would I go about doing that?

    Since you have an older version anyway, why not upgrade to the latest version in the 2.0 series. You can download the latest from here. Just make sure you backup everything. Then try upgrading, if it doesn’t help report back here and we’ll go from there.
