Hello, I recently reinstalled this plugin as our other newsletter plugin broke. Install was successful and everything seems great until I go and import our mailing list, we get this. “Database error. If you were saving a newsletter try a table upgrade from the status panel.” Of course I did just as it said and nothing, still have the problem. I then proceed to the newsletter website, login and guess what, I can’t login. After putting in my credentials, the browser just spins. I tried this on multiple browsers so it’s a problem with the site thus why I’m here. After all the effort, no support has been given, updates don’t work. I’m literally about to give this plugin 1 star if I can’t get this issue fixed. I’ve tried uninstalling the plugin and wiping everything to see if that would fix it. nada.

Hi, if the plugin is blocking the access to the blog (actually I cannot imagine how), you should use FTP or a file manager and delete the folder wp-content/plugins/newsletter.

If you got an error during the import, it could be logged in a file inside wp-content/logs/newsletter.

If you can enter the admin side to unistall the plugin, is not clear to me what you mean with “I can’t login”. Where you cannot login?

    Stefano.

Hello Stefeno, this is the error I get by accessing the logs.

    “24-08-2019 19:27:56 – FATAL – m: 89.1 MB, u: 5 –
    24-08-2019 19:27:56 – FATAL – m: 89.1 MB, u: 5 – SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM wp2_newsletter

The login that I was getting to is the newsletter wordpress site to post on their forums which I couldn’t login. I put my credentials in to login and the browser just kept spinning.

Hi, where there are such reported errors (by the database library of wp) it usually means you’re importing data with characters not valid (for your db).

    Have names special characters? (accented)

Have you tried to copy and pasting the data instead of importing from a file?

The Newsletter status panel is reporting some warning about the database?

About the login in our site, could you retry? We have no blocks and every day people log in, actually i don’t know which could be the problem.

    Stefano.

Hi, i have the same problem and I am about to throw out this newsletter tool as I have already spent way too much time trying to fix an error I didn’t create. ??

Have you looked at gthe status panel? Is there any warning reported? Have you tried to import using the copy and paste?

    Stefano.
