Database Error When Attempting to Open Site

You MUST have the wrong information in your config file. Check that first.

Can you tell me how to do that? Thanks!

Just thinking – how did you backup your database?

i followed the exact steps provided by wp here:

i know have the TXT file on my desktop.

when i look at the wp-config.php file through my control panel, it has the right username and password. is that how and what i am looking for?

I am getting this same error when I try to open my blog. When I open wp-config, the username, password, database, etc fields are empty and are telling me to input them.

Anyone?
