Database error without image

    Hello,

    I love this plugin that I use for family birthdays, on a private site.

    But i have a probleme: I can no longer modify or add events without a picture. Only events with an image are accepted (for addition or modification).
    When there is no image, I get an error message that indicates a problem with the database: Incorrect integer value.

    I didn’t have this problem previously. Updating the plugin hasn’t changed anything!

    What do you think about that?

    Also, can you try again with all other plugins disabled to rule out a conflict of some sort?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your interest to my problem.

    I tried with all plugins disabled (only Akismet was actived) … but the problem is still the same.

    About my configuration:
    – Version of WordPress : 5.3.2
    – Version of PHP/MySQL : 7.1.32 / 5.5.30

    I don’t understand, it worked very well a few months ago.

    Can you create a new event with no image?

    No, it’s the same bug: I get the same error message.

    To be sure, I also tried to create an event with image, and I don’t get error message: the event is well created.
    And if I try to create again an event without image, I still get the error.

    It is really the variable “image” which causes the error, either when creating or modifying an event.

    It seems your DB is not allowing a blank stored image number. This is the first I have heard of this problem, but a fix should be easy enough.

    Acutally the fix was quite small so I made a release, 4.4.1. Please let me know if this fixes your issue.

    Just a correction to my previous comment.

    On my system a blank image id is converted to zero when saving the event into the DB. On your system it throws an error instead. I have now changed it to specify zero instead of blank so that the save doesn’t fail on your system.

    Great, that’s it! It works well with or without image, to create or modify an event. I will be able to update family birthdays. ??
