Database errors

  • How can I close tables properly?
    This is the report wp repair gave me:

    wp_usermeta: 7 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_posts: 86 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_comments: 83 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_options: 202 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_postmeta: 174 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_terms: 5 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_term_taxonomy: 11 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_term_relationships: 10 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_commentmeta: 83 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly

    What can I do to fix this?
    Is there anything I can do to stop it in the future?

  • Looks like you have some runaway plugins or a bad theme. Try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by phpMyAdmin.

    – running rapier on all tables again.
