database in another host

  • hello there,
    I am in process of moving my wp to a new host, but for right now I need to use the old db in the old host.

    How do i connect to that, the wp_config has only settings for the db (i guess, it assumes that the whole wp installation files and the db are in the same host)….nothing relating another host’s settings?

    any ideas???
