I updated to yoast 14.0.2 and did the indexing “Yoast SEO can now store your site’s SEO data in a smarter way!”. There its also mentioned that I don’t have to do this step after each update. So I’m curious why I see this message again, after upgrading to yoast 14.0.4?

Is the message wrong and I really have to do this now after each update or is the message an error and I can ignore it?

    Thanks

  • You should read the changelings. ??

For 14.04, in the bug fix section:

“In order to purge the wrong data, we need to truncate our tables again. This means you will have to go through the indexing process again. We’re very sorry.”

This 14.x release seems extremely buggy – 5 versions in 2 days. Luckily, none of my sites have exhibited any of the fatal errors others have experienced. (touch wood).
