Database is taking A LONG time to update.

  • Hello,
    I have a 400mb database on the local system running LAMP on a 4 core, 7gb, server. It’s been “updating” the databse for over an hour now.

    Is this normal? How long will it take? Is there any way to tell what is happening – an intsall meter of some kind – or if it’s still doing anything at all?

    I can access via phpmyadmin. But whenever I try to do something from the WP admin dashboard it just keeps coming up saying “database update required”…just FYI ??
