Database Missing

  • My database has disappeared with the latest version of wordpress on the website https://www.consciousexplorers.com I thought it was my hosts issue and i have been on at them for weeks about it. Finally I got them to link this to an old database but it doesnt reflect the current website in any way but at least I can get into the backend where before I could not. https://www.consciousexplorers.com/wp-admin

    I just found out today that another website that I made for a friend has the same problem although it looks different. Ultimately he can’t get into the back end. The website is login is https://monroeinstituteuk.org/wp-login

    We both greatly need to update our websites, so any help would be hugely appreciated!

    For the site of your friend it can be access it on that url:
    https://monroeinstituteuk.org/wp-admin
    You have it a wrong url for admin page.Then you access the above url you will see the options to login using wordpress.com account or using user and password.

    About the issue with your site you mean that when you did update of WP to the last version your database completly missed and you can’t find it via php admin panel, or something else?

    Did you or anyone make a change to the database? Or added a new plugin to WordPress?

    How is it suppose to look? I just loaded and looks normal.

    Apologies for the slow reply. You can see my website fine but I couldn’t get into the back end until my webhost attached an old database to it. The problem is that now none of my backend pages correspond to what you can see because this is an old database and everything has changed. I daren’t try to update anything incase it might revert to the old version. Somehow the original website database disappeared with the update.

    Ilian that link has the same problem. Again with my friends website you can see the website fine but he can’t update the back end. He has found a way around it which is going to wordpress.com and logging in via that website and he can update some things. He can’t get in through the login page though and he has lost a lot of the functionality though.
