    I have been using this plugin for years to create development instance of client sites as well as deploying developed sites.

    This latest version seems to not be creating the database correctly. The symptoms I am seeing is that when I try to save the permalinks, I get the installation screen and the wrong theme is activated.

    None of the WordPress tables other that the duplicator tables are being imported.

    Hey lcwakeman,

    Checkout this question on the FAQs page I believe it may help or provide some clues about this issue:
    -> Browse to: https://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find question: “Why does the WordPress installer show up after I run the installer.php file.”

    Hope that helps!

    Same problem here, only “wp_duplicator_packages” and “wp_term_relationships” are installed.

    Hey EagleJohn,

    Did any of the items in the FAQ point you in the right direction?

    Gotta love WordPress.

    The default collation on the source database is utf8mb4_unicode_ci which is not supported on my dev MySQL instance. Have to change that some day. This was set by the wp install. Why it shouldn’t use something more general like utf8_general_ci or let it go to the default which is utf8_swedish_ci.
