Database problem

  • Hi,
    I posted a question in the thread of another post, but perhaps that is not the best thing to do as older posts may not be reviewed?

    Anyhow, since posting I have been further trying a number of solutions (on threads with similar problems), all to no avail. Unless i’m missing something, it may be that i need to completely start again.
    is it possible to keep my posts and comments and import these only to a brand new installation of wordpress?
    I say this as although i’m a pretty expereinced PC user, i’m totally lost with SQL and PHP!

    PS – i’ve just gone back to 2.0.2 as this is working until i figure out what’s wrong

    does anyone read this forum I wonder?
    this is my second post & i’ve had zero comments…

    Have you tried the import/export tool in the latest version?

    What’s pretty good for copying posts and comments over to a new blog.
