Database restore failed

    Hello!

    First, thanks for this great plugin. I’ve been using it without problem in the past.

    This time, I want to restore a back up but it failed at the database step (when Creating table tmpxxx_postmeta).
    I have followed advice found in the forum (this one, this one, and some in users’ topics about uploading and restoring each folder one by one).

    Every folder has restored well except the backup_db.zip.
    I’ve got error like
    “Restore failed. Error:An exception has occurred. class: mysqli_sql_exception;msg: Duplicate entry ‘1128’ for key ‘PRIMARY’;code: 1062;line: 2056;in_file: /home/abpxauya/dev.alybee.fr/wp-includes/wp-db.php;”
    or just
    “restore failed” (or something like that).

    In logs things appear to be good, but I don’t recover pages or other things like that, and the database is empty.

    Do you have an idea to resolve the issue? Do I need some feature in the pro version?

    It is recommended that switch to another database access method in the plugin’s Advanced Settings. See this screenshot. Then run another restore.

    If the issue persists, it would be helpful if you could send us a debug zip to support(at)wpvivid.com. You can find the debug zip from the Debug tab of the plugin. Please also include a link to this thread to help track the issue.

    For those who have a similar issue, the team has found the cause: it was coming from the wordpress version. The WP backup version was older that the new website version.

    They successfully restored the backup to the new site after excluding WordPress core from the backup zip, then uploaded all other files, and restore.
