Database size Is LArge

    Hi

    I noticed that wp_relevanssi databse size is 70mb.

    Is this normal? If not how can we reduce this size? I have optimize tables but made no difference.

    That is not a particularly large table size for Relevanssi. Yes, it’s big, and it’s supposed to be big. Relevanssi builds a complete reverse index for your posts, and that takes plenty of space.

    There’s no way to significantly reduce the size of the index. Using a good stopword list will reduce the size, so if you don’t have any stopwords, make sure you do have some, but other than that, there’s no way.

    If the size is an issue, then you need to get another search solution. There are external solutions like WP Solr, Swiftype or AddSearch that take the search out of your site.
