Hello, just to let you know that after uninstalling the plugin, there’s one orphaned database table (wpdm_social_shares) left in the WordPress database. I think it should be deleted automatically upon uninstall. Thanks!

The table stores important data that may be required if the plugin is reinstalled in the future. Automatically deleting these tables upon uninstall or deactivation could result in the loss of critical user-generated data.

For this reason, we do not delete tables upon deactivation, similar to WooCommerce, EDD, and other major plugins. Removing these tables would mean having to reconfigure everything from scratch, including settings, widgets, and other essential configurations.

    Hope you understand this approach.

@mdibrahimk48 thank you for replying. I don’t think that’s a normal use case, just saying. I completely understand your point, but you should rather implement an option to Import/Export the settings instead of leaving trash behind.

Consider this, as a new WordPress user I am trying various plugins until I find the right one for my needs. Let’s say that I try about 20 plugins and they all leave orphaned tables behind… the result? My database is full of unused tables. I ended up with 250+ tables in my database at a size of 300MB+.

After I cleaned up the orphaned tables, my small site had only 40 tables and a size of 14MB.

So please consider implementing an option to Import/Export the settings for those who want to reinstall the plugin and not lose the data. Thank you for understanding!
