Hello, after uninstalling this plugin I have five orphaned database tables (aioseo_cache aioseo_crawl_cleanup_blocked_args aioseo_crawl_cleanup_logs aioseo_notifications and aioseo_posts) in my WordPress database.

I tried reinstalling the plugin, activating the option in Advanced settings to delete all the plugin data, and uninstalling it without success. The orphaned database tables are still there and some of them contain data, others are empty.

Is it safe to remove these tables via PhpMyAdmin? Thanks!

    Hey @nestormarius,

You can safely go ahead and remove those tables if you’re no longer looking to use AIOSEO.

No this is not a correct behaviour, when choosing in Advanced settings to delete all the plugin data, your plugin is supposed to remove all data including DB tables, after several months we found out that your plugin even uninstalled, it’s still causing Critical issues in Site Health due to Autoloaded options.

We should report this to WP authorities.

I agree with @miata2, the plugin should remove all the data when uninstalled, including the database tables. Please fix this!

    Hey @nestormarius,

Those tables are listed in the plugin for deletion upon uninstall. In case they were not successfully deleted, then you’re probably running into an issue with the plugin or with database permissions on your specific site. This rarely occurs but it does happen from time to time.

@miata2 I do see that we might not be dropping the options in some cases. I’ll look into that. If you ever run into any issues, just let us know and we’ll be happy to work with you on resolving them. The plugin guidelines from www.ads-software.com actually don’t mandate plugin developers to add an uninstall option, and almost all plugins leave their data in the database upon uninstall. This is just an extra feature that we added for the convenience of our users.
