I’m using the GeoLite2 City database. I can download it manually, but the automatically download doesn’t work. I’m using a cron-Plugin and this shows the planned job. But the job is failing. I can’t get the reason why.
How often the job should run? The next job will be run in approximately 13 days.

    Thank you.

Does it work now? I don’t have an idea why this should be, I will need to save the errors that happen during cron and show them in the backend or so.

I updated the plugin today. So far, there was no update of the database via cron. I will watch it. Debug infos would be great.
I played today with wp cli wp cron event run geoipdetectupdate --debug. No update, but the next cronjob was planned.

    Thank you very much.

The cronjob doesn’t work yet. The timezone isn’t correct. The option page shows GMT, the plugin WP Crontrol shows GMT+2. The Cronjob runs at GMT+2, but the database doesn’t update.
    The manual download works.

I deleted and installed the plugin again. Now it seems to work. But the timezone isn’t correct.

Timezone – which version of WP are you using? There were changes in this recently.

    I’m using WordPress 5.4.

Oh no, my test system used UTC as Timezone, that’s why I didn’t see this issue – will be fixed with the next version. Also, there will be a way that the cron errors are displayed in the backend.
