    Your WordPress database has been successfully updated!

    Continue
    Clicking ‘Continue’ takes me back to
    Database Update Required

    So I’ve looked in the database at the wp_options table
    db_upgraded is not set to anything, it is null
    db_version is not set to anything, it is null

    The version.php file in wp-includes is an empty file?? that was updated today

    There is no cache folder in wp-content
    I am not aware of any caching server-side – hosted by freehostia

    There is no object-cache.php located in the wp-content folder

    Anyone able to help?

    Sounds like an incomplete core update. Please perform a manual update. You’ll be asked to update the DB again, but it should work this time.

    Hey @m00ry, I am just circling back to see if you found a solution to the database update loop. Did you perform the manual WordPress update that was suggested by @bcworkz?

    Would you share your experience? It could help others who might run in to the same problem.
