    Hi,

I was reading other posts and promises from you that all is good and updated, and it will not fail ever again.

The problem is, on our site it does.
We have over 51000 Entries – it works till around 47000 and then fails.

Your description to change the engine is not necessary, because they are already InnoDB.
As I can see, that there are over 800.000 Entries in the logs and logs_meta combined.

My enthusiasm is limited when I read the sentence: “GamiPress needs to upgrade the database. Please backup your database before starting this upgrade. This upgrade routine will be making changes to the database that are not reversible…”

We have over 14,000 registered users and countless services on our site, placed advertising, competitions, cooperations, and we can’t afford to “perhaps” go offline after we click “Upgrade Database”.
Can we update here with more certainty?
Btw. We are a paying customer and have already sent a message.

I really don’t want to mess around with these Tables or delete some things.
I know what I’m doing, but I didn’t programme this Plugin, so I′m not aware of the consequences.

    Looking forward to your Answer.

    Best regards

    Mikkel

    Hi @mikkelcrunch,

It may have failed due to runtime due to the large number of logs. If you start the process again you will be able to see the remaining entries to update. The upgrade may be a little slow due to the number of entries that must be handled but it will not have consequences such as loss of user earnings. This update is designed to improve log management.

    Hi @dioni00,

    thanks for your quick answer.

You also answered my other question about deleting logs.

Although we have a lot of users and traffic on the site, the possibilities of GamiPress are not really being exploited. Means: We nearly only award points. When registering, when logging in, when reading an article up to 5 per day. One achievement occurs when the user enters a number in Ninja Forms (one-time).

So what you say means that if the user has read 3 articles and is rewarded for a maximum of 5 a day, the system can lose these 3 articles that have already been read (not the articles itself of course). Correct?

    Best regards
    Mikkel

    Hi @mikkelcrunch,

Yes, indeed, in this case the counter would be reset since it cannot find the associated logs to count the number of times the article has been read.

    Omg,

This would be a complete disaster for us.

Did you just import the database or do you have to import the whole site with files and so on?

    Best regards

    Hi @mikkelcrunch,

In the case of GamiPress, it is only necessary to restore the database to be able to have all the data related to user earnings again.
