• I have some problem with upgrading my wordpress blog. I had 3.0.1 version. After the upgrading to 3.2.1 version, when i try to access at the administrator page, I get the same message asking to update the database. What should I do now? I can’t access to my blog and write any articles.
    SOS.
    Thank you!

  • Your upgrade did not complete successfully.
    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – re-running the upgrade manually using /wp-admin/upgrade.php.

Shoud i do the backup first, or can i upload all files & folders – except the wp-content folder now?

It didn’t work. I have the same problem.

That message might mean your version of MySQL is too old; Starting with WordPress 3.2 MySQL 5 or greater is required. Check to see what version you’re running. If you don’t know where to check, ask your host. If it’s lower than 5, ask your host to upgrade it (or do it yourself if you’re able). Make sure to back up your current database beforehand if you do end up needing an upgrade.

    I have MySql 5.
