Database vanished

    Anyone had an issue where the database has totally vanished and the config file edited?Last backed up a month ago when content changed. Annoying has have to go back and rebuild.

    Vanished? If you look in phpmyadmin, it’s gone? Have you checked with your host?

    I looked in the hosting plesk control panel and there is no database any more. I looked at config and it names a database that does not exist. So I can’t check in phpmyadmin.

    Wow… I think you really need to ask your host about this. While it’s possible to drop a database from within WordPress, it’s not a common hack.

    First thing I’d do is change every single password related to the site and hosting before restoring from a backup, then change all the WP user passwords.

    Hi, I have rebuilt it, as I had backups. I may have done something but I don’t remember.
