Datatables error after scanning

Hello vaughancavca,
looks like you are having some Javascript issues there. Could you try loading the pages and running the scan with a browser console open? Look for any red notices there. They should indicate if there are javasript errors or some files are failing to load. If you need help interpreting them please take a screenshot of the errors, upload online and link to that screenshot here.

I’ve run a scan of my site, but I didn’t actually get any Javascript errors in the console. I did however see this in the scan activity, but I’m not sure whether or not this is related to the popup error problem:

Notice: Undefined index: coreUnknown in /var/sites/c/cavca.org.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceHash.php on line 141

The popup error message came up when I loaded the Scan page before I’d even started the scan itself, and it also appeared once the scan finished.

The “coreUnknown” notice is a documented bug. We have a fix for it coming out with the next version of Wordfence. It should not be affecting your scans though so there is something else going on too.

I’m fairly certain this is a javascript conflict of some sorts. Just to test, could you try temporarily disabling all other plugins except Wordfence and then try to run the scan again to see if you still get the same message about “datatables”.

I deactivated all the plugins, and started a scan. It didn’t come up with the message this time, and it showed all the things that needed fixing as it should normally be doing.

Ok vaughancavca, great. So then we know that one of your other plugins is interfering with Wordfence. Try enabling the other plugins one at a time and do a scan between. This way you should be able to figure out which plugin is causing the issue. Feel free to check back in and let me know which one it was if you figure it out. It might help others who experience similar issues. Thanks in advance!
