    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

From what I can see, you still have the DataTables JS library turned on for some tables, although your have turned off the individual features.
Please go to the “Edit” screens of tables 2, 5, and 17, and uncheck the “Use DataTables” checkbox (below the table input fields) there.
That will permanently prevent this error messages from appearing here.

    Regards,
    Tobias

So …. what do you do if you get this error and actually want to use the awesome DataTables JS library? ??

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Then we’ll need to find out what’s causing this error ?? Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this happens, so that I can take a look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

I worked out soon after you posted, it was invalid HTML. I found this on another thread after a while, and all is good again ?? Thanks for following up so quickly, I’m glad I chose this plugin!

I wonder if it’s possible to provide a warning when saving the table in the edit view, to let the user know that their html is invalid?

    Cheers

    Hi,

yes, invalid HTML can indeed cause this, as and it most often happens when quotation marks " are involved. Good to hear that you found this! ??

Providing a warning in this case is not possible, unfortunately, as that would need JavaScript code that is able to check HTML code for its validity. And that’s something really difficult and even browsers can sometimes have trouble with.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
