Your dropdown works very different and I think most of our clients would get confused. When you make a selection, the text shows up underneath the dropdown and in order to select anything from the dropdown again, you have to click on the crossed out text in order for the dropdown to be active again.

We would love to just select an option from the drop down and then see the results. Then go back to the dropdown and select another option to see different results.

We know you have another extension datatables_multi_filter_select, but it’s placement at the bottom of the table is not so easy to find. It also displays all columns and has no default text to see what the dropdown displays.

An example we like would be like this site https://www.autochlor.com/sds-msds/

We would be more than happy to pay for this feature.

Oh.. this might be the best plugin we have ever seen in WordpRess. Nice job!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean, but as the JavaScript code for the ColumnFilterWidgets Extension is not developed by me, there’s nothing really that I can do here ??

The reason why the dropdown values are added underneath the table is that some tables allow multi-filtering, i.e. choosing different values.

    Tobias

My client wants to know if you would add this as a feature to the plugin. They will pay for it. You can reach us at https://www.atlantasky.com

    Hi,

thanks for the offer, but unfortunately, I’ll have to decline.
I’m just not familiar enough with that partical JS library and don’t have necessary time to work on this ?? Sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias

No need to apologize. We just thought it would be easier if you did this. We will get one of our developers to create this add-on.

    Hi,

sounds good! If there are any problems along the way, the documentation of the DataTables JS library https://datatables.net/ that TablePress uses, should probably be helpful.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
