• I recently switched hosting from GoDaddy over to a VPS on ServINT.net

I have three instances of wordpress running on my website (www.KeepItTrill.com) but only two of them transfered without any problems. Unfortunately the blog that didn’t transfer was the one for our music section, which has the most posts (several thousand of them)

after the transfer our files and databases were complete, KeepItTrill.com/media would be completely blank (that is the music blog)…. If i would right click for the source code, nothing would be there. I assumed that somehow some files failed to make the transfer successfully, so i re-download the files from go-daddy and re-uploaded everything again – but still didn’t fix it.

I figured it must be a database problem, but I checked with my server company and they told me my database was set up fine, so i decided to delete ALL media files and the database from my server and start with a fresh install of wordpress. That went smoothely and i have word press running with our theme and i have re-uploaded all of my wp-content folders/files. The only thing i had left to do was re-import my database files into the new database so i could have all of my old posts back…. for somereason it wouldn’t let me put the old database files into the new database, so i decided to re-create the original database as a seperate entity from the new installs database… I edited the config.php files to let WP know the proper database to pull the info from, but i’m getting the same prolem as before (just a blank page when going to keepittrill.com/media)… confirming to me that it is simply an error somewhere within my database.

How can i fix my database? How can i even figure out what is wrong with it? I’ve already backed it up from go daddy two separate times to make sure it downloaded properly, but it still didn’t work upon re-upload. We are a decently ranked website and the longer we are missing these posts from our site, its really going to affect our indexing in the search engines…. PLEASE HELP!

  • It sounds like you might have a versioning problem.

This exact same thing is happening to me over at (debohobo.com). I changed host, set up hosting with GoDaddy. Set up my new database, installed WP, imported my saved database sent to me by WP via email. I get nothing but a blank white screen. I open the database file in NotePad the scripting is all there comment, posts etc.

It just isn’t showing up live. I need some detailed suggestions, answers and steps on how to fix this.

    Thanks in advance
