Date does not change

    I noticed that only in the home page date does not change, but if entering a particular post where correct date appears.

    Try to switch your theme to Twenty Fifteen and to check if the bug continue.

    if i use Twenty Fifteen, the plugin work fine.
    maybe that have a conflict with visual composer plugin.

    I can’t to check NewsPaper 6 because of its not free.
    You can contact the developer or you will check if the theme use the_date or the_time functions.
