Date Field doesn't work properly in IE or Firefox

Hi.
I’ve noticed that when using the Date Field in a form, it doesn’t work properly in IE or Firefox (latest versions).
By that I mean that you don’t see the format required, and when you click in the field, it doesn’t pop up the calendar like it does when using Chrome.

If anyone has any ideas I’d appreciate hearing them.
