Date Field Not Working in IE

Hi there,

I have a required date field in my form.

In Chrome, Firefox and Edge the date field shows with “dd / mm / yyyy” default format shown.

This is not present in Internet Explorer, but typing it in is not a recognised format.

Can you advice how to make this compatible with IE?
