Date Format – How to get USA format

Hello – all Frontend Views Dates for event grid and single event page show as “Day Month”. For example, today’s date shows as “08 Aug”. How do I get it to show in the traditional USA format of “Month Day”? For example, “Aug 8”.

I’ve found the single event date-time.php template entry “->em_start_date, ‘d M’, 1 )” but changing this has no effect on the date format for the grid listing or the single event page.

Please advise?
