    Hello,

I am testing All-in-on Event Calendar 2.5.22, free version. WordPress ver 4.8.2 and Sydney theme.

I notice that in Agenda view when I click the Date image link, to the left of the subject and the expanding body field, the activity is shown at the top of the list. If I then expand the activity, the body text is shown as 9 points and line breaks are not shown and text is show as on paragraph.

Normally when I expand an activity it is shown with 11 points and line breaks are shown.

If the date image could could be shown without a link the problem would be avoided.

    Any ideas?

    Example:
    https://www.nyaramstiftelsen.se/blank-sida/kalender-h2/
The URL has password : v?r456

    Kind regards
    Hans

  • Hi @hansab,

This is normal functinality. Clicking on one of the dates on the left will display events from that particular date that was clicked.

You are welcome to submit a feature request to have the option to remove the anchor link from the dates in Agenda view, on our Ideas page, for a future implementation of the calendar. You can do so here:

    Hello Sunny,

    Thank you.

But one thing seems like a bug to me. If I click the date of one activity it is displayed at the top of the list (order of list is changed), and now if I expand the activity the text has text has decreased to 9 pt. In all other views the font is 11 pt. This behaviour also affects other activities normally (one only the top in the list was shown with formating changed)

Also the line breaks are removed, all text is shown on one paragraph which is not what I want.

In the seetings for the calendar I have Agenda and Month view activated, Agenda is default.

    Thanks
    Hans

I forgot, here are links to screen shots. One with normal display and one with decreased font size and removed line breaks

    Hi @hansab

This error is most likely a result of a plugin or theme conflict (usually caused by a caching or security plugin).. Please try a different theme temporarily such as Twenty Seventeen, or, disable all plugins and then check if the problem recurrs — then re-enable each one until you find which one caused the problem.

    Let me know the results.

    Hello,

Sorry for not getting back. I switched to theme Twenty Seventeen and later Twenty Ten:

When I expand an activity in Agenda view the font size is 9 pt now, I don’t have to click the date image first. The line breaks are shown correctly. If i click Read more the size is 11 pt.

If I click the date image and the expand the activity the font is 9 pt and the line breaks are not shown.

When I click read more button in both scenarios above the activity is shown with 11 pt again.

Switched back to Sydney again and disabeled all other plugins including Really simple SSL and Wordfence Security, it did not change the behaviour. Same as above.

I activated the plugins the new behaviour described above remain. I flushed the browser cache and waited oe day in case some other server cache is used.

    Reagrds,
    Hans

    Hi @hansab,

Try turning off advanced javascript cache in Events > Settings > Advanced > Advanced Settings

    Hi Sunny,

I am slow to reply. Your suggestion did the trick, thank you!

I found another issue when testing different browsers. Using Safari 5.1.7, on Windows 7, the calendar Date label is hidden in Agenda view, screensnap:

    Any ideas on this?

    Many thanks,
    Hans

    Hi @hansab,

Both, the operating system and the browser is out of date.

First, I recommend upgrading to the latest version of Safari, if your older OS allows it:

    Safari (current) Version: 5.34.54.16
    https://safari.en.softonic.com/download

If it still doesn’t show the full date, you would have to upgrade your operating system, or, use a different browser.

    Hi Sunny,

I asked a friend to try using Mac and Safari, and the calendar looked fine now.

I also tried using a machine with Windows 10 and went to the link you provided and downloaded Safari. The instelled version turned out 5.1.7 still, strange, and the issue remained. Windows users will have to use some other browser.

    Thank you,
    Hans

    Hi @hansab,

Well, Windows 7 users will have the problem. That OS is terribly out dated.
