• First off, I LOVE this plugin!! Thank you so much for creating it.

I’m attempting to use the ACF jQuery “Date Picker”. The issue is with the way that the field is displaying. Even though I change the “Display format” and “Save format” in AFC, it always comes out with the year first.

If the date is set for January 31, 2016, the output looks like this:
    20160131

    The shortcode I’m using is:
    [acf week_of]

How can we get this to display a normal date (like “January 31, 2016”)?

    Hello!

The date you’re trying to dispaly is related to Advanced Custom Fields plugin setup. The date you control from ACFRPW is related to the post publication date and not your custom date. You’ll have to tweak some ACF settings.

Thank you for your super fast response!!

This date is independent of the post publication date… I made a separate field so that users can add an “Event Date” (for example, showing something coming up in the future) so it is outside of the date that it was published in WordPress.

My “Display Format” in ACF is set to “mm/dd/yy”. Is there something else I should revise?

    Hey, no probs.

That’s right. This format is only related to the ACF settings and it’s unrelated to ACFRPW. You’ll have to ellaborate the issue yourself as it’s unrelated to my plugin. I don’t know if there’s any other place where you could control the format with regards to standard ACF.
