First off, that’s a nice looking site. And I really like the styling you’ve done to the widget overall. Well done!

My hunch is that this is a theme conflict. Is there any way you can send us a link to a zip file of this theme to test? Use our Contact Form and give me a heads up here when it’s sent and I’ll take a look.

    Thanks!

Thanks! That’s what I was thinking as well… I clicked on your COntact Form link but it is a 404

ok… although i don’t know if i should share the theme files since it’s a paid theme – i’m using Padre:

If it’s a WordPress theme it’s GPL which means it can be shared. You’re actually paying for the license more than the code. But I don’t want you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Alternatively, you could send me admin credentials to your site through our contact form (and yes Jan provided the correct link). But there’s little I can do without digging deeper into the code. Thanks!

Oh man, @webdevmattcrom you were doing so well too. ??

Here’s the text that gets copied when someone makes that offer.

I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums. Really, do not do that here.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

I do know you mean well but please refrain from asking for that access in the future.

That’s fine by me. Everyone has their own perspectives. One thing I’m confused on Jan, are you speaking on your own behalf or on behalf of the www.ads-software.com support forum? Because as far as I know (and I’m here daily and read the Handbook regularly) there is no policy prohibiting asking for credentials offsite. Can you point me to such documentation if it exists?

Jan was speaking on behalf of the www.ads-software.com Support Forum, as am I. ??

    The policy is here:

Forum members, including plugin and theme authors, should never ask for admin or FTP access to a server, MySQL, or WordPress installation.

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#The_Bad_Stuff

What you do in your own private support system that we can’t see is totally up to you, but here we do our best to foster an environment of safe practices.

This is not a statement against you specifically, goodness no. As you know though, policies have to be enforced against everyone, we can’t play favorites.

Thanks James. Not a problem, thanks for the clarification.
