Date Restriction Settings – Pre sale question

  • Hi, Just a quick question…

    My client is after an event plugin for their website where events are added by members via a front end form but it needs to be able to do one particular unique function… Be able to setup a rule so that any two events must be 10 or more days apart.

    If the member submitting the event selects a date for their event that is within 10 days of another scheduled event, then they are notified that ‘the date they picked is not available due to the 10 day rule’

    I noticed that My Calendar checks to see if an event clashes with another one, is it possible for it to extend this to the requires my clients needs?

    Yes, it is possible to customize this. You have to add your own logic, but there’s a filter on the conflict checking routine that allows you to add your own rules.

    Another two quick questions if thats ok…

    • is it compatible with ACF?
    • can custom fields be set for the front-end user event submission form either using ACF or via a Gravity Forms form?
