• Good day,

I’m using the following shortcode to show reviews:

    “[reviews_rating icon=no name=no vicinity=no view=”8″ loop=”yes” interval=”30″? date=”Y” theme=”columns four center narrow bubble”]”

This used to show the date of the review as the year, e.g. 2025, 2024, 2023 and so on, and used to work fine and as intended.

However, since a couple of version updates ago (can’t narrow it down, I’m afraid) this no longer works. It still shows the year for the first two or three reviews, but all other reviews’ dates are shown as relative information, e.g. “a month ago”.

You can have a look at it at the linked website (scroll down).

It’s not a big deal, but since it used to work perfectly, it still annoys me ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@studiomondiale Thanks for the support query about dates. This has reminded me of the relative date issue present within the plugin code.

However, all review data collected through the Places API and through the HTML Import process will have a date specified. Please check the all reviews have a date listed under “Submitted”. If imported, you can suggest your own date.

I will have a look into this matter more closely over the weekend. So, if I have an update, I’ll add a response here.

    Good day,

    Thanks for your reply!

Yes, all the imported reviews do indeed have a date specified. I’d like to preserve that date though and not tamper with it, especially since adding date=”Y” to the shortcode used to work as intended. Even if I changed the “Submitted” date in the backend, I think it would still show “a month ago” and so on on the frontend. Or it might be that I misunderstand you here.

In any case, I’m looking forward to an update at some point. Like I said though, it’s not a big issue, so take your time ??
