Date show

Hi I a newbie wordpress user. I had download a week ago and now I want to change some thinks in the layout.
I want to change how post is show in my blog, is something like this:

26 April
Tile Post 1
Post 1

Tile Post 2
Post2

27 April
Tile Post1

So before show the post, show the DATE and if there is another post with the same date, don′t show again DATE.
So you have a first title, that show one date, and inside of that title all the post with the same date.
I think that I have to use “is_date” condition, is that ok? Any examples?
I hope I could explain what I want.
