Dates on Pages vs Blog

Try editing your theme’s index.php template file and adding <?php the_time();>?> where you want the date to appear.

Hmm… that doesn’t work actually… Inserting that code into my index.php doesn’t do anything… Where exactly should i put it if i want it under my post title?
