    1. First date is wrong:
1a. The first label on the x axis is “Jan 2016”. It should be “Dec 2015”.
1b. The tooltip for the first data point of each line is “Dec 2016”. It should be “Dec 2015”.

    2. Tooltip format is inconsistent. The dotted lines have Title, then Date and Value on next line; the solid lines have Date, then Title and Value on next line.

    Hello @swinggraphics,

Thank you for using Visualizer and apologies for the delayed reply!

For the first point, I have created a test instance using your data and it seems that for me everything works fine. (screenshot). Can you double-check your settings and make sure that you are not hiding the first data point? (check width and chart size)

You might also want to look for plugin conflicts so please deactivate all plugins except Visualizer and see if it fixes the issue.

Also, try and see if by importing the data from a file instead of a URL, you can see the data points correctly.

As for the second point, this indeed seems to be an issue with our plugin. I managed to recreate it with a default data set too thus I informed our developer team about it and will be addressed in future releases.

Thank you and we’ll await your response!

    Hello @swinggraphics ,

I am coming back to let you know that for the tooltip issue you can use a workaround and use a value like 0.001 for the line width. This way the tooltip will show the information in the same order all across the chart. (screenshot)

A proper fix for this issue will be released along with future updates of the plugin.

Thank you and have an amazing day!

I finally made time to come back to this.

The dotted vs solid line tooltip has been fixed, thank you!

The first date is still shown as “Dec 2016” instead of the correct “Dec 2015”.

    Hello @swinggraphics,

Thank you for confirming that the fix has worked in your case too!

As for the first data point, as I mentioned before, please make sure to check the sizing of your chart and see if it is not hiding the first data point. We had only encountered this issue with one user, a long time ago and that was the only fix for them too.

Another possible fix would be to delete the chart and create a new one using the same data to see if the first item is showing.

Thank you and have an amazing day!

This is a fresh WP installation. I’m not confused about what’s being shown—it is the wrong date. I am giving up on this, doesn’t seem worth it.

    Hello @swinggraphics ,

    Thank you for your reply!

I went ahead and downloaded your provided CSV file again and tested out the data and for me it is showing correctly. (screenshot). As you can see, the first value of the tooltip is indeed DEC 31 2015. Can you see that on your end too?

As for the first value on the X-Axis, indeed is 2016 even though you have as first value 2015. This only happens because you have only one value for 2015 and since the first value of 2016 is so close to 2015, the plugin is showing the later year as more values are included there. You can make 2015 appear too by using the manual configuration and increasing the min spaces between values whilst also making the horizontal values font smaller so 2015 can fit too.

Thank you for understanding and have an amazing day!
