Dating a post in the future / appearing in the present

I want to date most of my posts for the future but I want them to appear now (not scheduled to post on the future date). I’ve looked through the plugins, the forum threads and the documentation and it appears that the solution to this is that it is not possible. There must be a way… Do I need to manipulate the PHP? If that’s what I need to do, let me know where to look please… Thanks in advance!
