• I have had timed content appearing at 5am one day and hiding at 4:55am the next day for weeks now.

I set it to repeat every 1st Saturday and that’s where things get wonky. The block that said it would appear the 1st Saturday did not appear until Sunday.

Right now, both the 1st Sunday and 1st Monday blocks are showing. My timezone is correct in this plugin and the site in general. It says 1st for the Weekday ordinal and Sunday for the Day of the week, yet the Scheduled dates/times has it green for appearing now, 11:05am on Monday.

Also, the Monday timed block has changed in appearance- the one at the top is not the timed content, the two videos below are were created with the same design, I just changed the text from Sunday to Monday and switched videos. Yet, Monday’s video is appearing as landscape initially and then much smaller than the block it is attached to.

I use Beaver Builder so it’s a saved BB row that I insert into the Timed Content code and then add to the page via a BB HTML block.

How can I fix this? Thank you =^.^=

P.S. while I do not have explicit content on the site, I am a Dominatrix so chose the ‘mature content’ tag. Those videos are positive morning affirmations.

First of all: always use “show projected dates/times” in the rule editor to check on which days a rule will apply exactly.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding, how “start/end” and repeat patterns are used.

It is important that the start end end date of a rule will not be more than 24 hours apart from each other if the rule should repeat on a daily basis or not more than 7 days apart from each other if the rule should repeat weekly. Otherwise you may have “overlapping”.

    For example:

    Start: 2023-01-01 00:00
    End: 2023-01-10 23:59
    Repeat pattern: weekly, every Sunday
    Repeat duration: 10000 times

Now the first repetetion will cause the content to show for 10 days from 2023-01-01 00:00 to 2023-01-10 23:59. The second repetetion will start 7 days later and will make the content show from 2023-01-07 00:00 to 2023-01-17 23:59. So in the end, the content will always be visible since both time spans overlap even if you may expect that only “Sunday” will apply.

So if you want something to be displayed on a specific day of the week only, the rule may look like this:

    Start: 2023-01-01 00:00
    End: 2023-01-01 23:59
    Repeat pattern: weekly, every Sunday
    Repeat duration: 10000 times

Maybe I will add some plausibility checks in the future to avoid situations where the rule duration based on the start/end date and repeat pattern may cause a conflict.

P.S.: About the NSFW tag – no worries, I also help my friends at PFF Berlin maintaining their website.

It’s now working fine. I will use these troubleshooting tips if it goes wonky again and let you know what I find.

Hope you have a great day!

    Hello, it’s not working again.

    • I changed the timing to the 00:00 to 23:59 as suggested
    • I’m only using the monthly repeat function
    • It was set to the second Friday last month on the first Saturday, it appeared as scheduled that Friday, today is the second Friday and it’s not appearing.
    • It seems like it glitches every time it’s due to appear for the second scheduled appearance. Last weekend was the first repeat of modules. Monday, when I said it was working, that module was appearing for the first time.
