• I’m running 3.5.1

DB Backup does not seem to work. It goes into “sit and spin” mode, then gives me a blank screen.

Backup for .htaccess and wp-config seem to function normally, though .htaccess saves to my server and wp-config wants to save to my desktop. Don’t know if that’s normal behavior or not.

Suggestion: Have a “Backup All” button that dumps files either onto the server backup folder, or to download. Don’t know if that’s possible, but it would be a time saver.

  • The .htaccess and the wp-config files are small files which is why you are not having any issue with those.

The full DB backup requires a little more RAM memory. I have a feeling, your server has a very low PHP Memory limit so it is running out of RAM memory while trying to do the DB backup. Whats your memory limit set at currently?

The plugin does put the backup file in a folder on your server.

    @ksteinmann,
Check your server logs in case there are any errors being generated.
Often you will find a big clue to what’s wrong inside the host/server logs.

    Hi there,
    same issue here.
    Here are some details:
    PHP Version: 5.3.28
    PHP Memory Usage: 17.16 MB
    PHP Memory Limit: 256M
    PHP Max Upload Size: 32M
    PHP Max Post Size: 48M
    PHP Safe Mode: Off
    PHP Allow URL fopen: On
    PHP Allow URL Include: Off
    PHP Display Errors: Off
PHP Max Script Execution Time: N/A Seconds

    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Jana

    Hi Jana,
Have you checked your server logs in case there are any errors being generated by your host?
