DB tables remain after uninstall

I’ve uninstalled the plugin but five database tables remain, and they’re churning out overhead. Tried removing the tables and my DB collapsed. Site back online thanks to a backup, but the pesky tables are still there. Any idea how to get rid of them? Thanks.
