I tried installing the latest plugin update and the update screen showed that it updated to version 2.0. I was prompted to run the DB update, so I did. Now the DB update won’t stop running. It has been running for over 12 hours (Update 49734 of 3). I have restarted the web application 3 times and that hasn’t stopped it. I am running WP in MS Azure Web Apps (Windows), but am planning to move to a different hosting platform after these issues. At this point, I just want to get the DB update to stop running because I can’t deactivate the plugin while this update loops. Here are the plugins running:

    All-in-One WP Migration
    Contact Form 7
    Fusion Builder
    Fusion Core
    Give – Donation Plugin
    MailChimp for WordPress
    Slider Revolution
    SendGrid
    The Events Calendar
    W3 Total Cache
    Yoast SEO

    Thanks!

@webdevmattcrom what is the looping update doing? Is it actually changing anything in the database?

Hi @casualmagic — If your update is looping, then it’s simply stuck on a step and continues trying to update the database successfully, but keeps noticing that it’s NOT updated successfully.

We just pushed version 2.0.2 out which should resolve any remaining update issues. If you do continue having update issues, here’s what I’d suggest:

    1) Deactivate any and all security and caching plugins you have running
    2) Go to “Donations > Tools > System Info” and check how much memory you have available. If it’s less than 100, we recommend setting it to the maximum amount 1024.
    3) If you have our Recurring Donations addon, there was an update conflict there. We’re releasing a fix for that within the next 24 hours. Wait for that release, update that, then finish your DB updates.

That should get it all done for you. Thanks!
