I am working on a number of sites where wordpress was installed via installatron or softaculous.

I don’t need them to be involved – sick of all the emails for one thing.

Is there a way to ‘delink’ from those installer apps so wordpress is just like it was installed from scratch?

    Hope that makes sense.

  • Softaculur and Installatron are tools provided by your website’s hosting provider and are typically available in the cPanel control panel.

If remember correctly, these tools store a configuration file somewhere in the cPanel user’s account that tracks their installations. But it’s a long time since I touched such systems, and I’ve no idea how they work now.

I’ll recommend asking your host about this, as they provided these tools. Googling might also help, but you want to be careful to NOT inadvertently delete the WordPress installation!

    Good luck!
